Radio Therapy is a podcast series dedicated to helping young people living with cancer. The aim is to provide an authentic, unfiltered insight into the realities of teenage and young adult cancer. “We are a group of young people from Scotland who have faced a cancer diagnosis. Drawing from our experiences, we want to provide a raw perspective into our lives, offering support not only to those battling cancer but also their families, friends and communities.”
Season 1
There are six episode series that will provide an authentic, unfiltered insight into the harsh realities of teenage and young adult cancer.” Radio Therapy is aimed at young people and covers themes including mental health, body image and mortality.
The six-part series, produced by Glasgow-based Go Radio, has proved cathartic for the contributors and illuminating for their loved ones. Click on QR code below for each episode.
Season 2
Following the hugely successful launch of the first series in April 2024, which focused on the experiences of eight young people living with cancer, series two of ‘Radio Therapy’ has been released. In this six-part series some familiar young people from series one, along with a new young person, introduce us to their parents.
Episode one has already been released in memory of Eden, one of the podcasters from series one, who passed away with her family by her side. Eden and her family were grateful for the opportunity to record this podcast and requested the episode be released.
Season 3
After yet another successful series, the launch of series 3 brings us a wealth of information from the BOYS! The topics include;

Relationships can be hard to maintain for a lot of people after receiving a cancer diagnosis. The boys talk about different relationships and how they have effected them since getting their diagnosis.

British Podcast Awards
September saw Julie Cain and members of the RadioTherapy podcast team swapped the recording studio for the pink carpet as they attended the British Podcast Awards at the iconic O2 in London. The podcast was one of seven finalists in two categories — Best New Podcast and Editors’ Choice: Specialist Subjects. Although they didn’t take home a trophy, the young people had an incredible time celebrating how far their podcast has come, whilst soaking up the glitz and glamour among some big names in the podcast industry. A huge well done to all involved!
